Becoming your best version

You are here to grow into your best.

You need to be free to grow, to have the emotional room to breathe, to stretch and try your wings to succeed, and, especially, to fail.

There are no rules to guide you. You need to find your own way, at your own pace, and to accept the truths you discover about yourself.

You hve to give uo your safety net and risk. You'll discover that your world grows with the mistakes you can take responsibility for.

You cannot grow if you are always protected.

Growing is freeing the good that is already there. You do this by letting go of what does not work for you. The loss of a false fantasy is a gain, but you have to find this out for yourself.

You grow most when you live in the belief that you have something to give to the world.

If you don't grow, everything becomes a repitition of the past.

You always grow when you give your love.

The self you admire is the person you become.

Failure to admit the truth always blocks your growth, and even fools and children have lessons to teach.

Dont grow old, grow better.

To expect to grow is to stay forever young.

I let go of doubt.
I free myself.
I embrace the new.
I find myself again.

A continuing struggle as we seek to follow Christ is trying to find our calling in life. While we often think in terms of occupation and location, perhaps a more important issue is one of character - the being that undergirds doing. "Lord, who do you want me to be?"

Oswald Chambers said: "Consecration is not the giving over of the calling in life to God, but the separation from all other callings and the giving over of ourselves to God, letting his providence place us where he will --in business, or law, or science,in worksho, in politics, or in drudgery. We are to be there working according to the laws and principles of the Kingdom of God.

When we are the right people before the God, we can do whatever tasks he sends, whatever he puts us. In so doing, we discover and affirm his calling for us.

You are called with a holy calling.
The light of the world to be;
To lift up the lamp of the gospel
That others the light may see.

Ephesians 4:1
I, therefore , he prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.
